UNIOTO ELEMENTARY 3-5 Choir

1st Semester, 2022-2023

Unioto Elementary will offer a 3-5 Grade Choir First Semester this year with a performance at our Music/Art Night in December.

Please check out these important details:

• CHOIR TIMES - Choir will be held on selected MONDAYs in September-December, 2:40pm -  3:30pm.  PLEASE SEE THE ATTACHED SCHEDULE.
• PARTICIPATION FEE – There is a $15 participation fee due on or before the first rehearsal, September 26. Please make checks out to UNIOTO.
• PICK UP - Parents, please respect the pickup time of 3:30pm. Students will be released at 3:30pm at the Main Entrance to the Elementary building. If a student is picked up late more than 2 times, they will be dropped from the choir.
• PREPARATION - Students will have a CD of the music and a booklet with song lyrics. They are responsible for reviewing and knowing the material prior to coming to rehearsal.
• ABSENCE -  THERE ARE 11 REHEARSALS.   It is important for your child to attend each rehearsal.  A child is only excused from choir due to illness.  Unexcused absences include parties, social events, sporting events/games/practices or doctor/dental appointments. Students who miss more than 2 consecutive rehearsals must have a doctor’s excuse.
• BEHAVIOR - All school and music room rules apply.
• PERFORMANCE – Students should wear black pants and a white shirt for the performance!  (Please reach out if you need assistance in this area.)
